The spotlight this month is on Joy Everley, a London based fine jewellers who specialise in exciting and unusual jewellery made from precious metals and stones. Their recent Kids Company Charms email campaign caught my attention with its good looks and uncluttered design.
The first thing I noticed about this campaign was that it’s so simple. Essentially it’s made up of just a few images and a small amount of text, yet the design is much more than the sum of its parts. The email is elegant and attractive, which is a great message to be communicating when you’re promoting jewellery.
The quantity of text is perfect to pique my interest and there are also clear links to the Joy Everley website and Facebook page so I know exactly where to go to find out more. What this design demonstrates best is the effectiveness of one or two well chosen images; the logo in particular sets the tone for the whole campaign.
