The Rundown Report: our top 5 news stories of the week

2 minute read

How have the last five days been? Let’s end the week with a quick recap on five news stories that caught our eye this week.

1. Tweet tweet

This week it was revealed that Twitter have previously taken an interest in buying Spotify, after abandoning plans to buy music service Soundcloud.

2. 4K World Cup screening

With the start of the World Cup just a week away, it’s only right to ask how and where you’ll be watching it? If you’re one of the lucky ones you’ll be sampling the delights of ultra high-definition television.

3. ASOS’ share price falls

After issuing a profit warning on Thursday 5th June, fashion retailer ASOS have seen their share price fall by a third. Having recently struggled with international sales, they still have plans to open a second warehouse soon.

4. Take a trip to Hill Valley

Exciting news for some of the folk this week, the set of Back to the Future is being recreated by Secret Cinema. Tickets came and went quickly (after a minor hiccup), and the Guardian asks what film sets they should tackle next?

5. Bye bye Bliss!

If you were a girl growing up in the 90’s you’re probably familiar with Bliss magazine. It was my favourite teen magazine, so I was saddened to see the announcement of its closure this week.
