Let customers schedule emails to be resent to them at a convenient time

When’s the best time to send an email campaign? There are many possible answers, but ultimately it will always vary for each recipient.

Often it’s simply not practical to split your email campaign across different times, but there’s an easy way to turn this to your advantage – by letting people schedule your email to be resent to them when they’d like to receive it.

This is a perfect tool if you have a promotion which appeals to someone, but which they’re not in a position to take advantage of right now. For example, we’ve seen this simple technique add thousands in revenue for restaurant clients.

Making this a reality using Marketing Automation is easy.

Start by deciding what options you’d like to provide – for example ‘resend in a day’, ‘a week’, ‘on Friday’. Then add a link to your campaign for each option. The actual link can point to anywhere you’d like, ideally to a page on your site acknowledging their request.


Then before you send your email go to Marketing Automation (you’ll find it under ‘Send’) and add in rules for each of the links which trigger a delayed send of the reminder email to the subscriber after they click. That’s all there is to it!

To avoid any confusion, it’s best to create a copy of the original campaign without the reminder links in, to send as the reminder campaign.
