What you legally have to include in your emails

1 minute read

When creating your marketing emails, there are some things you must ensure you include in order to comply with the law. The list here is specific to UK/EU and Australian requirements but similar laws apply to most destinations.

  1. Your legal company name and registration details. For example in the case of a UK limited company, you need to include your legal company name, registration number and place of registration, so for Sign-Up.to this would be:
Sign-Up Technologies Ltd. Registered in England & Wales Number 4674316
  2. Your physical mailing address
  3. A valid reply email address
  4. A clear, free, unsubscription mechanism

In essence, it’s essential that you make it clear who you are and how people can contact you – you mustn’t try to conceal your identity in any way.
