1. Employers can read your private emails

European judges have ruled that employers can read workers’ private messages sent via chat software and webmail accounts during working hours,  The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) said a firm that read a worker’s Yahoo Messenger chats sent while he was at work was within its rights. His employer had discovered that he was using Yahoo Messenger for personal contacts, as well as professional ones. Judges said that his employer had a right to check on his activities.

2. What’s Tim Peake tweeting?

Nice to see that British astronaut Tim Peake is keeping up with popular culture down here on planet Earth. He took time off from his busy schedule at the International Space Station to tweet congratulations to Adele on her multiple success at this week’s BRIT awards.
