Talk in the Sign-Up.to office usually centres around what people are having for lunch rather than how they are going to burn off the calories, but yesterday things got flip-turned upside down as several members of staff decided to take part in a 10k run for charity.
The run will take place on the 27th September 2009 and Sign-Up employees Sophie Clark, Mark Taylor, Neil Mukerji, Gavin Laugenie, Matt McNeill, Jeff Scott and Matt Huntly will be taking part. Here is what they had to say:
We’re very excited about running for such a great cause that we really believe in, and we would love to raise as much money as possible. So whether you’re a client, partner, colleague, friend or family member, please show your support as best you can – not forgetting that 10K is a long run for IT folk like us!
There are 7 runners involved and each has a target of £100 in sponsorship to reach, that makes the combined total £700, but Sign-Up.to has already raised £105!
We will be keeping everyone informed of our progress via the Sign-Up Technologies Facebook Page and Signupto Twitter Profile over the next months. After the race we will update everyone on how it went and who our biggest sponsors were.
The Charity we are supporting is Cancer Research UK. 1 in 3 people will develop some form of cancer in their life time and Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. You can do your bit to support Cancer Research UK by Sponsoring Sign-Up.to in our efforts to make it through a 10k run that will quite possibly result in hospitalisation for at least one of us.
