You may have heard us mention our brand new API once or twice recently. One of the reasons that we’re really excited about it is that it makes it easy to create integrations that add the power of Sign-Up.to to other systems.
One of the first of these is an app created for the popular e-commerce platform Shopify. The app makes it simple to create Marketing Automation sequences to recover abandoned shopping baskets. That’s marketing geek-speak for sending shoppers who add items to their basket and then don’t complete the purchase one or more automated emails to encourage them to go back and complete the transaction.
Done right this can really boost sales and conversion rates.
Our aim with the app was to make creating basket reminder emails really simple. Add the free ‘Sign-Up.to – Cart Recovery & Marketing Automation App‘ to your Shopify store and it’ll link your store to your Sign-Up.to account, then set up lists, example email campaigns and Marketing Automation rules automatically.
Out of the box, the app creates a sequence of three Marketing Automation emails in your account, to be sent one hour, 24 hours and 72 hours after a basket is abandoned. These are paused so you can edit the emails or change the timing before making the campaign live.
Each email contains a link to the shopper’s basket (which we pull automatically from Shopify), so they can step straight back into the purchase process. If someone completes a purchase the sequence is automatically terminated, so they won’t receive any more reminders.

This is the first of many apps we’ll be releasing to make it easy to link Sign-Up.to to with your other processes.
