We’ve recently added functionality to your account which allows you to create a clone of a data capture form. It’s a feature a lot of our users have asked us about in the past, and we’re really excited to be able to present it now. The new form clones will include the same fields, formatting and list connections as the original, and you can open the new version in the form builder to continue making modifications.
There are a few ways you can make use of this new functionality. It might be that you embed data capture forms on various pages of your website, and you want to change the header or colour scheme to suit each page. You might want to copy the same layout and branding for your Facebook form but add another few relevant fields. Or you might use similar forms for people to sign up to events, but need to change the dates or specific locations for each form.
How to clone your form
Once you’re happy with your original form, click to save and publish it, then return to the Forms page under the Collect tab. When you click on the icon for your form, you can choose between a few options, and the last one is ‘Clone’.
This will add a new form on the page, named ‘Copy of’ the original form’s name.
Now you can open this clone for editing just like a normal form, and make any relevant changes, or just go ahead and preview or promote it.
