We’ve talked a lot about integrating CRM and eCommerce applications but it’s also really easy to integrate Sign-Up.to with your WordPress website. It’s the Sign-Up.to WordPress plugin – just one of over 46,000 plugins which are available to the WordPress user community.
Did you know… around 26% of all websites and over 75 million blogs are built using WordPress. That’s a huge 59% of the known world CMS market. Here’s a live view of worldwide WordPress activity – interesting!
The Sign-Up.to WordPress plugin is a quick and easy method for creating a data capture subscription form for your website. Visitors who complete the form will be added directly to your Sign-Up.to account. Like most of the WordPress applications the integration is made through a simple plugin – behind the scenes it uses the Sign-Up.to permission marketing API (PMAPI) to manage the connections.
To find the WordPress plug in go to your Sign-Up.to account click the ‘cog’ symbol on the main menu bar and then select ‘integrations’. Here you’ll find some further information and the option to download the plugin. Then go back to your WordPress dashboard and add the new plugin there.
Once you’re set up you can then use the plugin to design and post a subscription form. Good practice with subscription forms is to keep it simple – at least for now. Email address, firstname and surname should be fine. You can always go back and collect further information once your connection is established and your relationship develops. You can include HTML to customise your form to match your existing branding and you can add text so your subscribers know what they’re signing up for.
When someone completes your subscription form they’ll be sent an opt-in confirmation email. You can customise this in the ‘Collect’ section, using the ‘Custom Opt-In Email’ option, and once they click on this they’ll automatically be added to your designated list.
If you need it, there’s more detail on the process in our Knowledge Base guide here.
